Funeral services for Timothy M. Tynon, age 66 of Ogdensburg will be held on Wednesday (Oct 19, 2016) at 3:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Burial will follow services with military honors at the Ogdensburgh Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held also on Wednesday (Oct 19th) from 1:00pm until the time of the service at the Funeral Home. Mr. Tynon passed away on Wednesday (Oct 12, 2016) at his home unexpectedly.
Surviving are two sons Thomas Tynon of Denver CO and Travis Tynon of Rensselear Falls; a sister Bonita Tynon of Ogdensburg; two grandchildren; a special niece Pam Matice & her husband Lawrence of Gouverneur along with many other nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was predeceased by five brothers William, Ronald, Donald, Robert & Richard Tynon; a sister Patricia Carter and his longtime companion Helen Pratt in 2013.
Tim was born on Jan 12, 1950 in Potsdam NY, a son of the late William & Mayme (Williams) Tynon. He graduated from Heuvelton Central School and entering in the US Marines in 1969 and later transferred to the Army until 1971. In 1973, he joined the US Army Reserves until 1994 and was an active member of the Am Vets, VFW and DAV.
During his career he was employed as a laborer for the Town of Canton Highway Department, a truck driver for St. Lawrence County ARC, Heuvelton Central School as a custodian and in 1977, he began his longtime employment as a therapy aid at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center until he retired in 2006.
Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and socializing with friends and family. Condolences can also be shared online at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
