I knew Tobie only in passing at first, when my kids were in Heritage Baptist Church preschool. Then about 10 years ago, I started working preschool childcare (like Tammy Bynum did) and made a forever friend in Tobie! She was always there to listen, give a hug, make you smile. I will never forget when I was staying in Birmingham while my husband was in UAB for almost 3 months --- Tobie knew her diagnosis but would not tell me, nor let anyone else tell me. She got a hotel for me when I had no where to stay.... she went with me to apply for extended stay lodging and assistance. She kept coming to see me, stayed with me and kept checking on my husband regularly...putting our situation above her own... a truly selfless person. A great great friend. I will miss her and love her always! Tobie is now pain free and at peace in the arms of Jesus.

I met Tobie at church about 14 yrs ago working in the child care area, we just hit it off being friends and grew really close through the years, have had many laughs, and tears, hard to believe she is gone, I will miss her big hugs and smiles that she use to give. Even when I spoke to her on the phone about 3 weeks ago she always tried to make me think she was doing ok even though I know she was in pain. At last she is pain free and cancer free, she had a long list of people praying for her to be pain free and God answered our prayers. Love her so much, and my prayers are with the kids and family going through this difficult time. Love you guys.
