One of my fondest memories of Todd was when he, my son (Jim), and some of their friends papered my trees in my front yard. When confronted, Todd showed up to clean the mess up. Not many would do that. Later I ran into him and his Mother in a restuarant and layed a roll of paper on his table, just in case. Todd was a good guy and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The video shared brought many tears of sadness and joy to my eyes. It is such a bittersweet victory. Todd is among the glorious angels serving our Lord. May we be at peace knowing that he has won this courageous battle and that we may see him again when we are at last taken to our home in that beautiful sky. My prayers are with the family and with Barbara and those beautiful babies. May they grow up knowing what a wonderful man that they call Father. God Bless!

To the Clendenon Family,
Todd was a very special person indeed. I remember my days at GHS and he is always that one person you cant seem to forget. I remember his smile he always had no matter how hard things were. Todd was an inspiration to us all and Knowing that he is in a better place where he has no more pain makes me think of him standing there with the biggest smile. He is in heaven now playing for the most amazing band. I can only imagine when he entered heaven and god took him by the hand and said Job well done son...I'm praying for you and your family. God Bless

I never actually met Todd personally, but only saw him in passing as I left work and he was coming in of the morning. I always knew he had to be a wonderful person since Barbara married him. Though I know it was a sad time for the family, I am grateful and blessed that I got to spend some time with him during his last week here with us. Though very many will miss him, I am happy to know he is in a much better place, with a healthy new body. He is walking with our Savior and we can see him again some day soon.

Barbara, just knowing he is no longer with us here is hard, then knowing his love for Christ and where he stands now and that one day we will join him can give us comfort and peace of mind. We love you.

I'm struggling to find the right words to say. I was blessed to know Todd in high school and vividly remember his role in percussion my freshman year(1999-2000). Todd - I've been keeping up with you on facebook(since I'm no longer in Greeneville) since I heard of your diagnosis. I'm so glad you are in a place where there is no more suffering or pain...you don't have to fight anymore. To Todd's family I can only imagine what you are going through...my mother has stage IV ovarian cancer and I fear the day such as this...just know that there are MANY of us that are praying for you and keeping you in our thoughts. We must remember Todd ... and soon we will get to see him again! With love...

Bill,
I heard of your loss today and I can't imagine how difficult this time is for all who loved your son. Todd sounds like a wonderful young man, and I knew when I saw his picture he had to be your son. As I read about his love of the drums and band,I knew you had a hand in that. It has been so many years since I've seen you, but please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God heal your hearts as you go through this most difficult of times.

While looking back down memory lane yesterday, I realized that my last night in Greeneville before I left for college was spent with Todd. We sat out under the stars and talked about all the places the world was going to take me and whether or not I was ready for those changes. We talked about love, war, money, education, pride, power, and Dave Matthews. We relished in our memories of band camp and aquatics class, geography class and our freshman years. I will never forget the "take on the world" attitude I left with the next day, and I know that I have leaned on the advice he gave that night more than once. As sad as I am to have to say goodbye to such a special person, I am so grateful that God saw it fit to cross our paths so many years ago. I am determined to show my appreciation for that blessing with my praise for my time with Todd instead of my frustration at the time we all wish he had been granted, but was not.

Debbie,
We were so sorry to learn of Todd's death. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also thay love his appearing."
2 Timothy 4:7-8 I can't even imagine what it must have been like when he woke up in heaven. We will soon him again some day. You and the rest of his family are in our thoughts and prayers. We Love You.

Todd was a very special person. I remember him from all the years at band camp in high school, and then later working with him at Laughlin. He was a phenominal individual who touched so many people just with his smile. May God's loving arms surround the entire family during this time of grief and sorrow. Just remember one thing...he isn't suffering anymore. I know that isn't much comfort now, but one day it will be. I love you all!

To Todd and family:
Although I didn't know Todd; I do/did know Debbie; his mother. I was Cheryl Towe and Debbie and I went to the vocational school together in 1973 - 1974 (back in the "day") and I have taken many or her classes at the YMCA. My niece that I raised; Chasta Hamilton; knows Todd from GHS. To Todd's family I have searched for the "right" thing to say and can't find the words. Just know that we are thinking of you in your loss and that Todd's struggle touched ALL of in Greene County and around the world. Chasta had kept up through Facebook and the Blog and she now lives in Raleigh, NC. The lord has taken him to a place where there is no chemo and no pain. With my deepest sympathy.
