Obituary

Tommie Nell Bernal, 82, of Austin, Texas went to be with her Lord on January 11, 2014. She was in the comfort of her home of fifty one years, surrounded by her husband, Charles Bernal, and loved ones. Tommie was a pillar of her family and community, an exemplar of humility, rectitude, industry and devotion to God and family. Her family came first. Tommie was ever generous with her love, teachings, laughter and culinary gifts. She always gave before she took. She displayed these strengths, as well as courage, through the moment of her passing from brain cancer. Tommie will be dearly missed, but her inspiration and example will live...
