VIRTUOSITY IN MOTION; DANCE AND FITNESS ICON, TONI BECK BOSNER, DIES AT 92 Toni Beck Bosner, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Toni was born in New York City on October 4, 1924. She graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. and received her M.F.A. from Columbia University. She married Paul Bosner on December 31, 1969. Toni Beck Bosner, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Toni was born in New York City on October 4, 1924. She graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. and received her M.F.A. from Columbia University. She married Paul Bosner on December 31, 1969. Toni studied with Martha Graham, Hanya Holm, Alwin Nikolais and Luigi in New York. She was a modern dancer as well as danced on Broadway for Bob Fosse, then ultimately transitioning to choreography and teaching. She choreographed for companies such as The Irish National Ballet, Bat Dor in Israel, and the Scapino Ballet in Amsterdam. She taught modern dance throughout the world from Tokyo to Copenhagen, and of course, in Dallas. Toni inspired generations of dancers and students to dream and believe they could succeed.
Toni continued to inspire as a full professor at Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts, where she was the first Chairperson of the Dance Department from 1962 – 1985. Toni then joined Stanley Marcus and Helen Corbitt, becoming the Executive Director of The Greenhouse Spa. She was also the Executive Director of the Spa at The Crescent.
Toni then devoted her career to giving back, focusing on maintaining exercise and fitness as we age. She was the Director of the 55+ program at Baylor Fitness Center in the Tom Landry Sports Medicine and Research Center.
She retired at the age of 85 after a 70 year career in Dance and Fitness.
Toni is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Bosner; loving children, Lesli Linka Glatter, Matthew Bosner (Sandra) and Sarilyn Bosner; grandchildren, Nicholas Campbell, Michael Bosner (Brittany Schreiber), David Bosner (Lauren), Anja Waleson and Jenna Waleson; and great grandchild Ariella Bosner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Margaret Beck, sister, Rosemary Beck and brother, James Beck.

A Celebration of Toni Beck Bosner will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas.
