Grandpa,
you have always been there for me. we have had great times on our fishing trips, to your gigs, and when i worked beside your on your routes. you taught me how to be a great father, leader, brave. it was hard to see you go but i'm glad your pain free in another place walking with the angels. every time i look up at the sky i'll always think of you. i'm glad i had the time to see you once more when i came in for toni and robs wedding. wish i could have seen you even sooner. i was on my way but it was to late. i am blessed that i have you as a father figure in my life and i am the man i am today because of you. i will miss you terribly, but i know you will always be with me in my heart. can't wait to see you again. look after our family from the heavens. i love you grandpa,
love your grandson, adam.

I remember being a little kid, Tony would come over to my Grandparents house (Ray and Barb Dark AKA Their Neighbors on 165th st ) There would always be that moment when my Grandma would tell us to leave the room so that Tony could tell one of his Dirty jokes lol ! Every time I was sneeky and hid around the corner to listen.
Every year he would come over as Santa Clause usually very late but it was like clock work every year. Christmas wouldn't have been the same with out him. Tony you were a great and funny man and an excellent father. I am thankful to have known you. I am happy you got to see your daughter get married. Rest in Peace and my thoughts and condolences to the Family... Ryan Hickman (aka Brenda Darks Son)

Tony, you were a life long friend of mine. In 1957 I went to your house in the Harbor and we used to harmonize. We always sang together. You started a band called "The 4 New Ways", then later, another band called, "Larger Than Life". But we go way, way back to the mid 1950's. I worked with your dad in the BOF in Inland for 27 years. I last seen you a couple years ago at the church in Catholic Church Festival in Hessville, In, where you came to see me perform. May God Be With You Always My Dear Friend. Jimmy Calinski "Jimmy C." from Indiana Harbor, and from the acappella doo-wop group, "Harbor Lights".

Tony will be greatly missed...for his love of family, life, music, friendship and so much more. He always seemed so optimistic...generally wearing a big smile and greeting others with such warmth and affection. He seemed to truly enjoy putting a smile on someone's face...and letting them know he found them valuable... I pray that you may each feel God's peace... His peace that passes all understanding as you make your way through this most difficult time of sorrow...
With Love, Bren

I am so sorry for your loss. Tony - best friend any one could ever have. Now he is resting with my husband(Mike) who also had many hours of visits (they both hadthe gift of gab and jokes galore). I know that you and your family will treasure all the memories you had with Tony. My son and I will keep you and family in our prayers. We missed him when he stopped coming to our building with the refreshners, but most of all at the video store where his personality shined as soon as you walked in the door, and as you left the building. Oh he will be missed, but now a guardian angel for you & your family which will strengthen you when you are in need.

Pat and Girls, I will forever hold the memories of Tony and your family in my heart. I always loved going to Grandma Gasaways and having the pleasure of Pat and Tony's company. I remember sitting around the little round table listening to stories and laughing till tears ran down my face at Tony. I pray for God's blessings to all of you during the next few days of having to say goodbye. He will forever be in all of our hearts!!! I love and miss y'all.

This man, this fantastic, musically inspired man was my grandfather. I can't believe he was gone so quickly.. I wish he would've stay a bit longer. I will miss the days walking into my Grandfather and Grandmother's house, saying hi, and him greeting me with, "Hi Mija." He called my sister and I his "beautiful girls" and that he loved us and we loved him back. Those days will be forever cherished and remembered in both my sister and myself's own memories. As long as our family sticks together and stays strong, we'll be sure to recover, but not too quickly. I love you, Grandpa.
