Services for Traci Alsup will be held Thursday, May 9 at 1:00 pm in the Stephens Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian. Rev. Kenneth Owen will be officiating. Burial will be in the Chunky Cemetery. Mrs. Alsup, 45, of Chunky, passed away Monday, May 6 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was well known for her love of the outdoors as well as being a member and former board member of the Mississippi Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities, an advocate who has testified before the Mississippi Legislature for Community and Home...

Mrs. Alsup, 45, of Chunky, passed away Monday, May 6 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was well known for her love of the outdoors as well as being a member and former board member of the Mississippi Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities, an advocate who has testified before the Mississippi Legislature for Community and Home Based Long term care, a supporter of MADD, a Christian who was an avid Bible reader.
Survivors include her daughters, Dana Williamson and husband John, Kim Alsup, son, Dustin Alsup, grandchildren, Trey, Caleb and Brannon Williamson, parents Jimmy Gault and his wife, Vickie, Cynthia Redmond and her husband Richard.
She is also survived by her sister, Denise Gault, brothers, Joey Redmond, William Redmond and wife Ramona, James Redmond, Ricky Redmond and wife Rogette, Dicky Wayne Redmond and wife Charlotte, step brothers, Bobby and Mathew Jeans, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Alsup is also survived by several special friends, Mary Troupe, Maudine Peavy and Dr. William Thompson.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Austin Alsup and a nephew, Micah Redmond.
Pallbearers will be her brothers along with Patrick Davis and Billy Hilton Harris.
The Apostle Paul tells us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Today Traci is walking the streets of gold, praising God and re-uniting with those who have gone on before.
No longer trapped in her shattered earthly body, enjoying the fullness of God's grace in her new, perfect form.
She is living God's promise, to God be the glory, forever and ever.Visitation will be Wednesday from 6pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
