Tressie Aycock Doss
July 10, 1921 – April 1, 2015
Tressie Aycock Doss, a resident of Morris, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the age of 93. She was a long time member of Enon Baptist Church. Tressie loved flowers and gardening and volunteered for many years with the Morris Beautification Board. Most of all, she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Pervy and Della Blackston Aycock; her loving husband of 55 years, Frank H. Doss; her sister, Lucille Turner; and her brothers, Clarence Aycock and James Aycock. She is survived by her devoted sons, Larry F. Doss (Joanna) and James H. Doss (Sandra); her brother, Clyde Aycock; four grandchildren, Susan Doss, Kent Doss (Staci), Brian Doss and Julie Mize (Billy); two great grandchildren, Beckham Smith and Leo Doss; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 1:00 p.m.to 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Morris Cemetery in Morris, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
