Uneeda Adams, 85, of Davenport passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Kahl Home, Davenport. Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00 a.m. in The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in the National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or VFW. Uneeda (Nita) was born September 21, 1925 in Irvine, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Julia (Powell) Dunaway. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Adams on January 22, 1947 in Lexington, KY; he preceded her in death on June 2, 1994.
Nita loved to laugh and enjoyed good times with family and friends. Among her many hobbies were: shopping, reading, bowling, golfing, crafting, gardening, and occasional penny poker.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Sue (Reggie) Bourland, Joliet, IL, Glenna "Gigi" (Brian) Seibel, Eldridge, Pamela (Tim) Moritz, Davenport, Robert W. Adams, Celeste, TX, and Richard (Teri) Adams, Davenport; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, BFF's: Peg Gooder and Renee Curtis, both of Davenport.
