Vera Estelle Bowles, age 92, of Winder, GA, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Anderson and Lula Jane Ewing Bowles; her sisters, Parilee Bowles McDaniel, Flora Bowles McDaniel, Willie Mae Bowles, Desma Bowles Day, and Louise Bowles Bryant; and her brother, Jessie Bowles. Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Stephens officiating. The burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Vera was a very special lady. I will really miss her. She always had such a positive attitude and always had kind words whenever I came in to see her. Thank you for sharing her with us these last few years. May God Bless each of you during this time of sadness.
