I first became acquainted with Verla through our book club. What a truly interesting and vivacious lady she was. She would always share with us her many travels and adventures and brought so much joy to everyone. She truly was a very special lady! So was so kind and giving and made all of our times together very unique. She will be so missed because she was so very loved by us all. We were all blessed and our lives made richer from knowing this precious lady. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I enjoyed my Hospice visits with Verla...she always enjoyed petting the dog I brought. Every time I knit, I think of her. Her daughter was so dedicated and patient with her. Suzanne McPherson

When I was in my early teens, I was able to spend several weeks with Verla and her Family. It was a wonderful time and she treated me so well. She had her Yarn shop then. I had a great time learning from her. She had wonderful stories and whenever we would visit she took great care of us, she will be missed.

I wanted to let the family of Verla Crisp know how sorry I am for their loss. I was honored to know her during her residency at Brookdale, my mother was there as well. She sat at the same table in the dining room as my mom and she was a sweet and gentle little lady. My family made many friends at Brookdale and Ms Verla was one of our favorites! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Ellen Jacobs
