Verna Ann Sando, age 97, of Hayward, Wisconsin passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at Golden Living-Valley of Hayward. Verna was born December 19, 1913 in Little Falls, Minnesota to Charles P. and Florence M. (Fye) Claude. She moved with her family to the Hayward area and attended school in Springbrook. On August 4, 1931Verna was joined in marriage to Christ Sando in Hayward. For most of her life Verna worked as a housekeeper for numerous homes in the Hayward area. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hayward where she was a choir member and attended circle group for many years. She loved her family and always had a...
Verna Ann Sando, age 97, of Hayward, Wisconsin passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at Golden Living-Valley of Hayward.
Verna was born December 19, 1913 in Little Falls, Minnesota to Charles P. and Florence M. (Fye) Claude. She moved with her family to the Hayward area and attended school in Springbrook. On August 4, 1931Verna was joined in marriage to Christ Sando in Hayward. For most of her life Verna worked as a housekeeper for numerous homes in the Hayward area. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hayward where she was a choir member and attended circle group for many years. She loved her family and always had a special place in her heart for children. In her later years she enjoyed playing cards at the senior center with her friends.
Verna is survived by five children, Barbara Kramer of Bowling Green, KY, Peggy (Harold) Johnson of Hayward, WI, Roger (Connie) Sando of Beloit, WI, Linda (John) Swanson of Hayward, WI, Sheryl Willems of Kenosha, WI; 28 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; one sister, Berniece Brumbaugh of LaMirada, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Christ; sons, Jack and Bill; daughter, Karen Cook; grandson, Jason Cook, granddaughter, Kathy Kramer; great great grandson Lukas Nalan.
