Vernelle Forbes Amason, age 82, passed away at her home Tuesday, October 12, 2010, she was surrounded by her family. Mrs. Amason is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gib Amason; daughter, Shirley (Ben) Berrey; brother, Eugene (Mary Frances) Forbes; brother-in-law, Coleman Amason; sister-in-law, Ruth Arant; three grandchildren, Wade, Sonya, Kim Berrey; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Abby and Saddlar Berrey. Funeral services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church in Ramer, Al. on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Chuck Francisco and Bro. Steve Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Ramer Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:00p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Serving as Pallbearers will be Joe Hooks, David Miles, Dan Jones, Danny Hooks, John Amason, Rickey Amason and John Henry Ellison. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Friendship Baptist Church.
