Knauss, Vernon Leon 76, went to meet our Savior in the early hours of Thursday, March 26, 2015. Vernon was born in Geff, Illinois on December 15, 1939 and raised in Grants, FL. He also lived for many years in Des Plains, IL, a suburb of Chicago as well as New Jersey and Texas. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps and worked for Sweda cash register company as a Mechanical Technician. Retired, he moved his family to Maricopa, AZ in 2005. Vernon is survived by his wife Laura (Reid), son Joseph Knauss, sister Wyleese (Frank) Wilson and brother Dalton (Elaine) Knauss as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Lucille (Roy) Duncan and brothers William, Paul (Norma) and Carl (Wanda) Knauss. A private graveside service was held earlier
