Vernon (Bud) Henry Brandenburg, age 88, of Othello, passed away May 26, 2012. He was born in Luverne, Minnesota on August 18, 1923 to Henry and Minnie Brandenburg. Bud served the Army during WWII in Germany as part of the 101st Airborne Division. He was married to Margery (Leibel) Brandenburg on June 17, 1948. He was the first executive director of the National Beef Council, and then a rancher and cattle buyer for the remainder of his working career. He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Bud had a passion for cattle, horses, and of course his family. He is survived by his children, Greg (Addie)...

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother Don, sister-in-law, Arlene, and 1 grandchild, Brandon. Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 am, June 2, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Othello. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Othello, WA in Vernon's name.
