Vernon Ellis Moore, 90, of Memphis, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013. He was a native Memphian and graduated from Memphis Technical High School, was a WWII US Army Air Force veteran and was retired from the US Department of Agriculture. Mr. Moore, the widower of Laverne R. Moore, also leaves a son and daughter-in-law Edward and Irene Moore of Memphis; brother and sister-in-law, John and Wilma Moore of Memphis; grandson, Justin and two great grandsons, Sean and Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon E. and Rose Novarese Moore; two daughters, Linda Marcelle Moore and Carolyn Ann Moore. Mass will be said at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 24 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Family and friends will gather at church beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
