Obituary

Vernon "Papa" Sugg went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Bean-Massey-Burge Beltline Road Chapel in Grand Prairie. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bean-Massey-Burge Beltline Road Funeral Home. He was the owner and founder of Sugg Plumbing. Vernon and his wife maintained the business until her death in 1984 in which at that time he retired the business. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Naomi "Cooter" Sugg; son, Eulis "Ray" Sugg; sons-in-law, Jim Kidd and Paul Cooper. Survivors: Son, Wayne "Cowboy" Sugg; daughters, Katherine Day, Gertrude Nicholson, Verlene Cooper and Barbara Kidd; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
