Vickie Faye Nugent, age 68, of Allen, Texas, passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Georgetown, Texas.
Vickie was born in Gorman, Texas and grew up in Trinidad, Texas. She was a graduate of Trinidad High School in 1967. Vickie settled in Allen, Texas to raise her family. She was a servant of Christ and was defined by her faith in Him. Her career spanned 29 years at First Baptist Church in Allen where she was blessed to work as a teacher, assistant director and director of the Early Childhood Development program Discover Days. She was gifted with musical talent and cherished years of service with child and adult choir programs at the church. Vickie's laugh and vibrant spirit were felt by everyone that she knew. She was a Christian and is now with her Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Nugent; daughter, Heather Tramonte (Jeff) of Round Rock, Texas; a son, Andrew (Amber Violand) of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Cade, Claire, and Annelise; sister, Pattie (Tommy) Collins of Mount Pleasant, Texas; her brother, Jeff (Pattie) Gage of Advance, North Carolina; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Horace Victor Gage and Bonnie Faye (Young) Gage.
The family would like to send specials thanks to the staff at Tiffin House Assisted Living and Memory care facility in Georgetown, Texas and staff from Accolade Hospice that provided such loving care and comfort during Vickie's final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas on October 7, 2017 at 10:30am.
