Vickie Lyn Travaline nee Brigham passed away peacefully on April 18, 2014 after a three and one half year battle with blood cancer. I knew Vickie from our weekday ministry at Old St. Joseph's Church. She was such a kind and joyful spirit. She spoke often of her husband and children. I was honored to know her. She inspired many to a higher faith. May God grant her eternal joy and may He comfort her loved ones here on earth.

The glow of goodness emitted by Vickie whenever in her company was difficult to ignore. Surrounded by family and friends today in celebrating her life was a vivid reminder of the wonderful person she truly was. May God have a special place of rest for her soul directly by His side. Frank & Robin

Vickie was one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. I met her years ago at our home Bible study. She always had a beautiful smile and a kind word.
We ended up at Philadelphia Children's Hiospital once where her little girl had had surgery and my little boy had had his tonsils out. Both of us spent the night there in the same recovery room with our little ones doing what mothers do when giving all to their children.
My heart felt prayers go out to Frank and all of her family.

Vickie has always been and will be in my heart since I met her. She and I shared together, the experience of learning to lead the Spiritual Exercises of Loyola at Fairfield University. We shared the same house in Fairfield. There, I learned that Vickie was an exemplary mother, an intelligent and spiritual woman, a good classmate and a good friend. She was always cheerful. I send my condolences to all her family members. My prayers are with you!
