After a brief illness, Victor Cirrincione, 83, passed away in his home on July 21 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida.

He is survived by his lovely wife Elizabeth of 50 years, his son Michael and wife Trudy of Red Hook, New York and daughter Tina and husband Thomas Herrington of Jacksonville Florida; granddaughters Rachael, Emily and Elisabeth.

He is also survived by his sisters Virginia and husband Domenic Paratore of Albany, and Antoinette and husband Tony Campana of Troy; his brother Paul and wife Agnes Cirrincione of Waterford; brothers-in-law George Coffey of Watervielt, and Jerry Celmenti of Troy; and many nieces and nephews.

Victor was predeceased by his sisters Josephine Donvoan, Frances Cirrincione, Anita Clemente, Mary Coffey, Theresa Valenti, Rose O'Rourke, Anna Cardnuto, and brothers Frank, Joseph, Angela, and Salvatore.

Victor was a devoted Catholic that worked for Bishop Hubbard for over 25 years as the "Bishop's man". Victor was employed by the Albany Diocese for a total of 47 years and never came across anyone who did not like him. He was well known for his quick thinking that would always come up with a joke that made you laugh. Victor was an avid reader of the Bible, history and the great literary classics. Victor was also a self-taught musician that enjoyed playing beautiful melodies on the harmonica, organ, piano and flute. In his retirement, Victor most enjoyed spending time on the front porch relaxing with family, occasionally sipping bourbon and puffing on a cigar while listening to classical and bluegrass music.

His family and friends will miss him dearly.

A memorial mass will be celebrated with family at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Florida this Thursday, August 14th at 11:00 am. Those wishing to remember Victor may make a contribution in his name to Catholic Charities USA, care of the children.
