Vinh Ngoc Le was born in Ha Noi, Vietnam on June 15, 1938 to Nam Le and Loi Tran. Vinh was a medical doctor in Vietnam, but God called him to ministry and after leaving Vietnam chose to go into ministry. To escape religious persecution in the 1980's Vinh and family came into the United States and stayed in a refugee camp. He chose to help the successful creation of God's house all along the Denver Metro and Surrounding Areas. His first being the Vietnamese Community Baptist Church in Aurora. He never wanted to be called a church founder, as the founder was God. He just planted His church where ever Vinh felt it needed to be put.
Vinh was a strong willed individual, meaning when he felt something needed to be done he did it. He lived on his own in Atlanta and Detroit until his son brought him home to Colorado. He retired from ministry in 2003, but never really retired. He was always there to provide counsel and ministry when it was needed. He taught his children that there wasn't anything more important than ministry and love, and that money took you farther from God. Vinh also was instrumental in sponsoring Vietnamese refugees, and many of them today thrive.
He is survived by his wife Mai Nguyen; 1 son; 5 daughters; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; church family; friends; refugees he helped; and many others.
Vinh's visitation will begin on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 10-7PM and Friday, September 1, 2017 from 10-8PM, both at Olinger Hampden Mortuary. Vinh's funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 9am, also at Olinger Hampden Mortuary. He will be laid to rest at Olinger Hampden Gardens following his funeral.
