Viola was a devout Christian and a dedicated partner to her husband Norman in his lifelong service to the Lord as a Pastor. She was a wonderful, selfless and loving mother who was adored by her entire family and all who knew her. We were blessed to have Viola with us for 101 years.

She worked at Aunt Sarah's Pancake House in Glen Allen, VA for 40 years and was Aunt Sarah in the Ukrops Annual Parade on the Aunt Sarah's float. She loved her customers and they loved her.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. She will then be taken to the Fredericksburg Cemetery in Fredericksburg, VA to be buried at 12:30 p.m. with her beloved husband, Norman. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to Grove Avenue Baptist Church, 8701 Ridge Rd., Richmond, VA. Condolences may be given at www.woodyfuneralhomeparham.com

"She was a very special lady. I will never forget picking strawberries with her. She always laughed about my son picking one and eating two" Brenda Clancy (Chesterfield, VA)
