Passed away on February 19, 2012 in Davenport, WA. She was born on August 1, 1921 in River Homes, WA to John and Dessie (Rose) Pierce. Viola attended school in Davenport, graduating in 1939. She married Clarence Coley on May 29, 1942. She is survived by her children, John Coley and Kathy of Davenport, WA and Susan Samek and Andy of Spokane, WA, six grandchildren: Tim and Aaron Coley, Mark Giannou and Jennifer Giannou-Moore, Pascia Backman, and Bill Carroll; four great grandchildren; four sisters: Bernice Stormo, Marge Coleman, Peg Dillon, and Jackie Sims. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Coley in 1981, and her daughter Gail. She enjoyed reading, and making afghans, doilies, and quilts. She enjoyed her flower garden. She was Lincoln hospital's Laundry Manager for many years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, WA. Pastor Brenda Tudor will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Hospital Foundation or to the donor's choice. Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, WA is caring for the family.

I am so happy you did not have to linger and suffer, mom. You definitely lived life your way and on your terms, and all of us who loved you dearly have benefited from your love and wisdom.
