OMRAN, VIOLET Violet K. Omran 88 entered into eternal life on Friday, June 6, 2014. Born in Haifa, Palestine to Hanna and Nezha Kafeety, Violet immigrated to the United States with her husband Farhan "Fred" Omran in 1947 living in Buffalo, New York prior to moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1955. Violet was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Farhan "Fred" Omran, her son-in-law Bishara "Bennie" Saoud, her sister Margaret Kafeety and her brothers David Kafeety, Fuad Kafeety and Rafik Kafeety. Violet K. Omran 88 entered into eternal life on Friday, June 6, 2014. Born in Haifa, Palestine to Hanna and Nezha Kafeety, Violet immigrated to the United States with her husband Farhan "Fred" Omran in 1947 living in Buffalo, New York prior to moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1955. Violet was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Farhan "Fred" Omran, her son-in-law Bishara "Bennie" Saoud, her sister Margaret Kafeety and her brothers David Kafeety, Fuad Kafeety and Rafik Kafeety.

Violet dedicated her life to the well-being of her family. There was never a time that she thought of herself first – it was always her family first. Violet's kind heart and gentle demeanor touched everyone that new her. The smile on her face and the glow in her eyes will be ever imprinted in the minds of those who love her.

She is survived by her five children, William Anthony Omran (Susanne), Arthur Phillip Omran (Nancy), Margaret O. Saoud, Lillian O. Emran, Gloria O. Ferry (Rick). Her loving grandchildren are Simon Saoud (Marissa), Sammy Saoud, Shayla Emran Bajalia (Mousa "Freddie"), Farhan "Tony" Omran (Crystal), Arthur P. Omran, Jr and Christina Omran and her great grandchildren Fred Bajalia, Sophia Bajalia and Landon Saoud. She is also survived by her sisters Lily Sweda and Samira Nasser and her brother The Most Reverend Samir Kafity, retired 12th Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to the Wyndham Lakes Community and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. The love and care given to our mother by their staff will always be treasured and we will be forever grateful.

On Monday, June 9, 2014 visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32217.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.at San Jose Episcopal Church, 7423 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32217, with
The Rev. Stephen C. Britt, officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257 or San Jose Episcopal Church, 7423 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32217
