Virginia Dare McDaniels Eades, 71, of Statesville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her residence. She had been in declining health. Born December 19, 1942 in Iredell County, she was daughter of the late Franklin S. McDaniels and Matilda Jenkins McDaniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Eades, Sr.; a son, Jeffrey W. Eades and two brothers, Charles McDaniels and Dee McDaniels. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, James L. Eades, Jr. and wife Paula of Hamptonville, and Donnie Ray Eades of Statesville;...
Virginia Dare McDaniels Eades, 71, of Statesville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her residence. She had been in declining health.
Born December 19, 1942 in Iredell County, she was daughter of the late Franklin S. McDaniels and Matilda Jenkins McDaniels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Eades, Sr.; a son, Jeffrey W. Eades and two brothers, Charles McDaniels and Dee McDaniels.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, James L. Eades, Jr. and wife Paula of Hamptonville, and Donnie Ray Eades of Statesville; and three daughters, Brenda Gail Davis, Janice McCoy and husband Terry, all of Statesville and Judy Dishmond and husband Reggie of Stony Point; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Gene McDaniels, Sylvester McDaniels, Leonard McDaniels and sisters, Lorene Bustle, Irene Anderson and Margie Shepard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
The services honoring Virginia's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Tony E. Bunton officiating. Special music will be provided by Rev. Max E. Hayes. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Eades, Allen Eades, Mark Eades, Dilan Eades, Terry McCoy, James McDermott and Robert Edwards.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers that have provided love and care for Mrs. Eades.
