Virginia Sparano Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 11, 2014.

We all have memories of those dear to our hearts, memories that help us remember the joys as we struggle with our sorrows in losing that special person in our lives.

Never hesitant to speak her mind, on any situation, Virginia Sparano was "Feisty G" or "Ginger" to her family and friends and "G-ma" to many young people in Stamford, Connecticut. Mostly she was Ginny and she was loved, by her children, Tonia Huiban and her fiancé Jack, Michael Sparano and his wife, Roseanne, as well as her grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Lindsay and Alexander. There are no words that can express the loss felt by her dear brother, Joseph and his wife, Diana or her loving sister Paula and her wife, Roe.

Ginny left her family and friends on February 10th, surrounded by those closest to her, to join her beloved husband, Ralph Sparano, her parents, Ida and Joseph Acuti and her dear sister, Anita Acuti.

Those she left behind, many adoring nieces, nephews and cousins, friends from her position at Abadir Associates, her involvement with the Stamford high school football and ""her boys"" on the team, so many people that she touched on a daily basis, either with a smile or a lecture: everyone shares in Ginny's loss which came much too soon.

There is no collection of words or thoughts which can possibly give enough tribute to the memory of this mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

A church service wil be held on March 15, 2014 at 12:30 pm at Saint Cecilia Church on 1184 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT 06905.

Ginny was warm, funny, outgoing, outspoken and a blessing to know. I haven't seen her in years but still remember her from DeReimer Avenue. She always drank coke with devil dogs, remember them? My heart goes out to all of you, she will be deeply missed as she was deeply loved by all who knew her.

My memories shall not fade the beauty I behold. Their name, their love, my sight, my heart. A peaceful journey I wish as angels protect.

I once read, "Death is a heartache nothing can heal but love is a memory nothing can steal". This gives me a small sort of comfort when I think of my Dad and I hope it may give you, and your family, some as well during this very difficult time.

Our hearts are heavy with sympathy and sadness for your loss but our love and prayers are with you. Rest in peace, Ginny.

A Poem
and
A Book
To my Cousin Ginny

In loving memory of our family
The Journey of You and Me

How would we know ?
How could we know ?
of those who were
and
those who are to be
Ah!
It is the journey they
left for thee.
Within these pages you
will see the journey
that came to be.
Share with those
So they can see what
might be.
For with thee the
journey lives
to go forth to
those who are to be.
So with my love I send
you these, the journey of
you and me.

Virginia was definitely one of our favorite neighbors when she lived in Stamford...she was kind and wonderful to all the children in the neighborhood...to the adults, she was witty and fun to talk to...she has been sorely missed ever since she moved away...we know how much she was loved by her family but we know how close she was with Tonia and Christopher and we understand how much they will miss her...it will take time for the sadness to make way for the joyous memories you will have of time spent with her...you will always be in our prayers.

Our deepest condolences to the Sparano and Acuti Family. Ginny was a remarkable person who always made my family feel welcomed and part of her family. I can't say enough how much that meant to me and what a true gift it was. Her heart was so full of love and life and shared it with all who knew her. I am sure if there is a Disney World and Mohegan Sun section in Heaven, that's where we will find her! Rest in Peace Ginny.
