Vivienne Mae White passed away peacefully on Jan. 8, 2018 at the age of 91.
Vivienne was born Nov. 30, 1926 to Vivian and Lura Shore in McCleary, WA. After graduating from high school in Port Angeles, she attended Linfield College in Oregon and went on to receive her nursing degree from Tacoma General Hospital in 1949. In 1949 Vivienne Married the love of her life, Allen S. White. They settled in Tacoma, WA. where their three children were born. In 1962 the family relocated to Bremerton where Allen obtained a teaching job and Vivienne a nursing position at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She loved working in the maternity, labor and delivery were her passions. Vivienne was also involved in several community organizations; Mary Bridge Children's Foundation, Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed her time in her garden and spending time with Allen at their lake house. Allen preceded her in death in 1998. Vivienne is survived by her children; Cindy Sorensen (Ted), Mary White-Gese (Vance) and Allen S.White, Jr. (Louise). She was the beloved grandmother of Mary, Amy, Andrea, Helena, Caleb, Sarah and Karin. She was also the great grandmother to 12. The family would like to thank the staff at Claremont Senior Living for the kindness and loving care Vivienne received while living there. A private family graveside service for Vivienne will be held at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton.

She was one of the kindest person that I have ever known. When I married her brother in 1955 she was so supportive, writing me a note (which I still have) telling me it was ok to marry her only brother.
