I was a student in his Church History class at GGBTS in 1993. He was one of the best professor I have had. He truly was a Christian gentleman. I will alwys remember the wonderful lectures he gave.

I was privileged to have Dr. Patterson as a student in the 1980s at Golden Gate, and enjoyed sharing life as a sometimes colleague when I came to teach at Golden Gate. I often told people that of all the professors I ever had, Dr. Patterson had both the gift of teaching well, but also a unique gift of test-giving. No one better measured what I had put into my studies than did Dr. Patterson. I have always admired him, and will always remember him.

A true giant of the faith and wonderful scholar. I will always place great value on my opportunity to sit under Dr. Patterson's teaching. I have cherished the friendship and looked forward every year to seeing he and Ms. Patterson on campus. Blessings to all the family.
