Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the South Texas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Association of Military Surgeons, and the Southern Surgical Associates. Doctor Etheridge served with the Armed Forces in WWII and was discharged with the rank of colonel. His hobby was medical photography, having accumulated an extreme collection of medical slides of surgical specimen and movies of surgical operations for training purposes. At one time, he was a visiting lecturer to senior medical students at the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. He was an avid golfer and member of Willowisp Golf Club. He married his childhood sweetheart, Annie Marie Graff, in 1938 and their loving union produced two daughters, Ann Wadette Mayer of Harlingen, TX. and Patricia Ann Etheridge, now deceased. He was preceded in death by his soul mate and light of his life in October 2011. He is survived by his one daughter, two granddaughters, Mary Jane Hetrick and husband Tom, Janine Marie Campbell and husband Jason, and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Mitchell, and Trevor Hetrick. A memorial service will be held at Forest Park on Saturday, June 15 at 2 P.M. and interment following.

"Doc and his buddies Ray, Jim, and Travis, were 4 of my favorite members at Willowisp. I SO looked forward to seeing them in the golf shop for their 8 AM..." Ann James (Richmond, TX)
