Sending blessings to Wade's family. I too just read about Wade's passing in the Tulane alumni magazine and was a classmate of Wade's in med school. I remember him fondly and with respect. So sorry to hear of his premature departure from our world. I'm sure his is sorely missed.

I am very sorry to hear of his passing away. When I worked with him at the Cancer Center we shared many laughs. He was a kind hearted person and took very good care of my mom. They were both avid gardeners and enjoyed sharing their experiences. My heartfelt sympathy to his daughters whom you could tell he doted on when he spoke of them. Betty Prescott

For many many years we exchanged Christmas cards with Wade and Kim after we left Millsaps - and after they left Nashville. We loved watching Khoury and Hallie grow up ( via photos ) But more than that - we have happy happy memories of our years in college. Wade always had a smile and a funny quip. Such quick wit and kind insight. We know his family will miss him dearly - and we pray for them. We were lucky to know Wade and pray for his peace. Dan and Betsy Burrus

As a former patient of Dr. Young's my wife and I came to know and appreciate his kind and compassionate care. When the medical reports were not good he encouraged us to keep the faith and know that God still heals. Twelve years later we are still being blessed by what he did for us.

I was a patient of Dr. Wade's at DCH Cancer Center. I give him credit for saving my life. I will never forget his caring and compassion during my grueling chemo treatments. He was a good man and a great physician.

I worked with Dr. Young at DCH Cancer Center for little over 12 years. He was a very positive person and found a great relationship with God over the years. I remember back on November 29, 2008 he attended my mother's funeral, it was a blessing and surprise to see his smiling face. He was a man who loved his daughters very much. The last conversation Dr. Young and I had it was concerning Koury Elizabeth and Hallie, how proud he was of them and the great accomplishment they're made thus far. I remember when he turned 40, his mother supplied one of his baby pictures so that we could place it through out the cancer center. He really got a surprise when he walked through the doors that morning. I really wish I could be there on tomorrow but my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Bill, Sarah, and Rachel
I am so saddened by your loss and your pain. Wade was at his core such a good person and I am sure a wonderful father. I have known Wade since early childhood and we shared an apartment for a year after we finished Millsaps. I fondly remember my nights at your house fixing pizzas and terrorizing Rachel. I did not know he enjoyed gardening- I remember, Bill, your love for orchids and my parents love for "yard work". It's funny that he and I both ended up with the same interests as our parents. My prayers are with you all. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Young passing away. I was one of his first patients after starting to work at DCH. He was very compassionate and kind during my days of cancer. I was blessed to see the man that was bothered to give a family in the next room life changing news. He was so shaken and bothered by it. Please know that he was loved. God bless you all during this time of loss.
