My condolences to Edna and the family. I worked and traveled with Walt when he was at B&W. I will always treasure the dinners and wine we shared during our trips. His obituary was too modest. Walt accomplished a lot. He is one of the few men in this country to be responsible for the initial start-up of two different nuclear power plants. Quite an achievement! I am glad we got together this past year in SC. You are all in our prayers. May he rest in peace. God bless!

When I was accepted into the US Army Nuclear Power Group in 1961 Captain Walter Abbot was one of my Instructors. I found him to be a good instructor and a very nice person. He would not put up with any horseplay during classes though. I learned a lot from all the instructors I had and I got a good education. My blessings go to his family.
