Walter "Scott" Allen, 55 of El Dorado died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at John R. Williamson Hospice House. Born March 9, 1957 in El Dorado, he was the son of Aden Burton and Anna Jo Lewis Allen. Scott was a retired painter and carpenter. He has spread his love of his job throughout many homes in El Dorado. He also worked for Shuler Drilling, Rose Construction and also Milam Construction for many years. He was an honest, hardworking man who enjoyed being outdoors. Walter "Scott" Allen, 55 of El Dorado died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Born March 9, 1957 in El Dorado, he was the son of Aden Burton and Anna Jo Lewis Allen.

Scott was a retired painter and carpenter. He has spread his love of his job throughout many homes in El Dorado. He also worked for Shuler Drilling, Rose Construction and also Milam Construction for many years.

He was an honest, hardworking man who enjoyed being outdoors. He loved and was always there for his family. Most importantly he was the greatest Grandpa in the world.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pamela Sue Allen Thomlinson.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Allen; son, Joseph Z. Allen; daughter, Melinda N. Allen; grandson, Evan J. Hollis. Also surviving are step-father, Pat Bailey and nieces, Kate Taylor and Wendy Taylor.

Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Young's Chapel with Rev. Ray Dison officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers may be made to Young's Funeral Directors in order to help defray funeral expenses.
