Walter Lee Johnson was born August 2, 1941 and passed away suddenly on July 2, 2013. "Lee" was born to parents Hughy Arlyn and Laurie Dell Eslinger Johnson in Laredo, TX and lived most of his life in Houston, Tx. He married his rodeo sweetheart, Diane Hengst on April 26, 1997 in Schulenburg, Tx. Lee served in the Vietnam War as a Navy Submariner and attended San Jacinto College. He spent the rest of his career as a Diesel Mechanic until the time of his death. Walter Lee Johnson was born August 2, 1941 and passed away suddenly on July 2, 2013. "Lee" was born to parents Hughy Arlyn and Laurie Dell Eslinger Johnson in Laredo, TX and lived most of his life in Houston, Tx. He married his rodeo sweetheart, Diane Hengst on April 26, 1997 in Schulenburg, Tx.

Lee served in the Vietnam War as a Navy Submariner and attended San Jacinto College. He spent the rest of his career as a Diesel Mechanic until the time of his death.

Lee dedicated his time and devotion to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for many years serving on numerous committees. He formerly served as a member of the Special Childrens Committee and was a past Chairman of the Corral Club Equipment Committee. He was currently a member of the School Art Auction, Events & Functions and Corral Club Support Committees. He was currently serving as Chairman of the Hold' em and Hit' em Club and Chairman of the High Bidders Buyers Group.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Milton Hengst. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, sons Shawn Johnson and wife Brandy, Kevin Johnson and his wife Erin and daughter Amber Johnson. He is also survived by his grandchildren Presley, Kyle, Brendan, Victoria and Lane along with sister, Lauryn Cowles, mother-in-law, Lorene Hengst and other numerous relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo or a charity of your choice.
