Wanda Louise Baker, longtime Shasta County resident, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on September 9, 2011. She was born on January 30, 1938 in Avilla, Indiana to Roy and Catherine Keck.
Wanda was a member of the 4 Square Gospel Church in Burney, California. She spent her life giving to others, volunteering for many different causes and agencies throughout her lifetime. Most currently Wanda was volunteering for RSVP ~ Retired Seniors Volunteer Program in Shasta County and the Shasta Senior Nutrition Center. Wanda possessed a giving spirit and those around her were truly blessed to know her, she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine "Tina" Walker and Doris Peel and her husband, Tom; two half brothers, Harold and David Moody and sister, Karen. Wanda was preceded in death by her son, ALan Wayne Spillers
A memorial service will be held at the 4 Square Gospel Church in Burney, Calif. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
