Wanda Kubat Ross age 91 of Thomaston formerly of Griffin passed away on Thursday April 5, 2012, in Golden Living Nursing Center. Mrs. Ross was born in Buffalo, NY on August 6, 1920, to the late Walter and Julia Kubat. She lived and raised her children in Griffin. Mrs. Ross served in the WAC's and worked in Griffin hospital for thirty five years. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Ross, Sr., a granddaughter, three great grandchildren four brothers, one sister and a son in law.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Greco of Ft. Myers, FL, Robert Gordon Ross, Jr. and wife Marqua of Griffin, Linda Coates of Griffin and Gail Salceiro and husband Julian of Thomaston. Other survivors include fourteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Kubat Ross will be conducted on Saturday April 7, 2012, at 1pm in the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Mark Sellers will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
