Warren Harpold was united with his Heavenly Father on November 26, 2012.

Born on May 23, 1920 in Mt. Vernon, TX, Warren was among the youngest of five brothers.

He was preceded in death by brothers Harold, Irwin, Ed and Rex.

In 1947, he married the love of his life Doris, and they enjoyed 65 wonderful years of matrimony. Warren worked at Simmons for 42 years but would claim gardening as his life's work & passion. He was an avid bowler, dancer, fisherman and golfer.

Warren was preceded by his son Michael and survived by his wife, daughters and sons-in-law Cindy & Tom Brantley, Beverly & Rick Ahlstedt, and daughter-in-law Sue Coursey. Warren greatly adored each of his 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Family was of utmost importance, and he was cherished by all who knew him. Warren was ordained as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Grand Prairie, TX.

Visitation Thursday 11/29, 6pm-8pm at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Beltline Rd. Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Funeral service will be held Friday,11/30, 10am at same location. Burial to follow at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens.

Uncle Warren was one of my favorite uncles! He was always so full of laughter and kind words. His memory will live in my heart forever. Uncle Warren leaves behind a wonderful example of love, life and laughter for all of us to follow. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you daily.
