Born March 8, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan to Walter and Fern (Willis) Doerr, passed away on September 11, 2017 at the age of 70. Waunita enjoyed going to the fair, playing bingo, and casino trips. She loved spending time with her family and her pet dog "Otis".
Waunita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie Eugene Buffington Sr.; daughter, Mary Whited; sister, Lucella Sygorney; and great-grandchild, Rowan Whited. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Leslie (Heather) Eugene Buffington Jr.; daughters, Linda (Larry) Byrd, Lucella (Bones) Kirkland, Dorothy (Bobby) Clark; brothers, Walter (Rosie) Doerr, Larry Doerr; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Mason Chapel. Memories and online condolences may be shared with the family at www.grbdmason.com.
