"Wow! Thank you, Jesus! Thank you Mom, Dad, my brother Don, and dear Christian friends - the wonderful influences and encouragers. God teaches that friends are very, very special. God also says that His message is love and I have experienced it. Therefore, I know it to be true, because I saw love and I felt love in my wife Georgia and our daughters Faith and Ginger, plus my caregiving helpers, especially Kevin Varner, also Ricky Euresti, as well as Peter Paynter. And to my Aggie buddies, I say, 'Gig 'em!'" The above message was penned by Wayne Edward Freiling, born to Russell and Virginia Freiling on October 22, 1940 in San Antonio,...
And to my Aggie buddies, I say, 'Gig 'em!'"

The above message was penned by Wayne Edward Freiling, born to Russell and Virginia Freiling on October 22, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas. He claimed his eternal reward on July 30, 2013. Wayne is survived by his wife of 44 years, Georgia, daughters Faith (Ethan) Coble and Ginger (Mario) Diaz, plus his beloved grandchildren.
He enjoyed his good friends of Edison High School (Class of '58) and Texas A&M (Class of '62). He coached football at Texas A&M and Oklahoma State University, returning to San Antonio to work in insurance, investments, and real estate. He moved his family to New Braunfels in 1984, continuing to be active in San Antonio organizations such as Farm and Ranch Club, real estate groups, FCA and other Christian boards, Ostomy Association of South Texas, San Antonio A&M Club, and Oak Hills Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. He served as deacon at Oak Hills; then elder at New Braunfels Church of Christ.
Wayne had the pleasure of making a hole-in-one, along with gaining his pilot's license and getting to fly a Lear jet. He enjoyed 9 trips abroad and traveled to all the United States except Hawaii and North Dakota, but his favorite pastime was driving through back roads and small towns.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Funeral service will follow immediately at 3:00 at MacArthur Park Church of Christ, 1907 NE Loop 410, San Antonio. The private interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers you may honor Wayne by donating to your favorite charity or Aggies for Christ, 2475 Earl Rudder Fwy S., College Station, TX 77845, but your friendship has been a far greater gift.
