`To the Harper Family: I met Wayne at Riverdale Baptist where both he and I had become Christians. Wayne was still in the Army and at time I would give him a ride back to Fort Mead. On one occasion we hit a skunk. That wasn't good for the skunk and Wayne and I spent the remainder of the trip with our heads out the windows, the cold was better than the smell. When Wayne was discharged from the Army, he was deciding where to live in the Riverdale area. He signed a six month lease with another Riverdale member. The next I heard Wayne had left for Bob Jones. I never saw or talked to him again. I wondered what had happened to him. I am sorry that this is how I learned about the wonderful life he lived. I will always his smile and quick laugh.

When our feet stumbled, Wayne gave us wings! It makes sense he loved eagles...God knew beyond a shadow of a doubt we needed a biblical model of true Grace in our lives. Angela and family, we join with you in your sadness and pray the Lord is your source of comfort in the days to come...looking forward to when we including our beloved Wayne can all be together again; what a day that will be!

Angela, Andrew, Sam and Caleb,
When the Lord takes back into His arms a man after His own heart, the rest of us will feel the void.

Our lives have been changed and enriched for knowing him. Pastor Harper, Wayne, a man of God,a devoted husband, a loving father and a friend, we will miss you, yet we look forward to singing with you in Glory. You shared the Word and led us to the Lord. You loved us despite of our funny ethnic ways - for this you have our eternal gratitude!

My prayers are now for our dear Angela and the family - we share your loss and we trust the Lord to comfort you and all those left behind. With loving thoughts, Erica

Angela & boys -- we will never forget Wayne and Angela Harper. Remembering the time you passed through Hagerstown, MD, and Ken helped Wayne with a slide show. What I remember the most is Wayne's gentleness. We gave your boys a big bag of quarters we had been saving -- divided them up and gave them to them. They were overwhelmed, but we, mostly, were overwhelmed by Wayne's response. It was truly humbling to hear his faithful dependence upon God's provision for his family. What a memory. We grieve with you at your loss. May God carry you through the days ahead.

Sorrow and joy. Mourning and rejoicing. These are seemingly opposite emotions. Yet, so deeply and passionately felt when a loved one dies. Even when we know we will see that loved one again.

My heart breaks for you Angela. Saying good bye, even for a short while is so painful. You are close to my heart. My friend, we knew each other for such a short time and yet you and Wayne had an incredible influence on my life.

Wayne, you no longer fight for every breath. No more struggle, nor fear and anxiety. No longer knowing sorrow, nor pain. You are with your Lord, and Saviour; breathing in His sweet, fresh Holy Spirit. Enjoying the peace of the Father. Your eternal, perfect journey with the One Who loves you most, has begun.

Lord, you are the healer of hearts. Wrap my friend Angela and her family in your comforting arms. Enfold them while they grieve. And when it's time, lift them up to go on. Be their strength in the coming days, weeks, months, years, til they are re-united with Wayne and united with You.

Knowing that I will see my brother again fills me with hope and joy in this sad time. Knowing he will indeed be finally breathing so deeply; breathing in, at the very least, the immediate and wonderful love of Christ.

Of dear Angela his most lovely wife, my family's heart and tears are shed, we pray for you and for the strength and peace of our Lord, both in you and in your boys during this time, and most importantly in the days to come.

Please know, dear Angela, that we certainly will be holding you before the glorious throne of His grace. Knowing too, and with all certainty, that the reunion of saints will be all the more blessed when we see our brother Wayne there. What a day of rejoicing that will be!!!

All our love and all our prayer, Edi, Maria, Saskia, Michael and Natalie Giudetti.

My thoughts of Mr Harper are of the youth camps and camp meetings. He and Mr Meyer making us pancakes, biscuits and gravy. Also their singing and ministries. Preaching God's Word to us. Heaven has received a true and amazing Man of God.
Mr Harper will be welcomed into Glory with many a song of joyful harmony.
My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs Harper, the family and friends.

Through the years God has brought us this far and blessed us with the memories we hold.
Through the good times and the bad
Through the happiest times and the sad
For you are more than a memory
You are a gift that God gave to me
And I thank God with all of my heart
For the love that you gave and the great friend that you are.
Looking forward to the years to come
Not knowing who or what lies ahead
But this I do know in my heart
That in our lives God gave you a special part.
Thank you my Pastor and friend for your faithfulness to God and enriching my life with Gods wisdom .In our eyes you are a perfect man as outlined in scripture that I was to mark and follow after as you followed Christ. Thank you for modeling a servants heart and biblical Grace. Because of you I will continue to be a competent leader in my family and church whilst teacing others the Word Of God in action.
