WATTERS, Webb Mixson, 71, of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017. He was a charter member of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church of Peachtree City, Georgia before moving his membership to Frazer United Methodist in Montgomery. He attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and transferred to Georgia State University where he graduated with a degree in accounting. He moved to Montgomery in 1988 to take a position with Jenkins Brick Co. He loved all sports and was a devoted Auburn fan. He was a marathon runner, an AAU swim coach and founding coach of the Peachtree City Pacers Swim Club. He had a special bond with his beloved lab, Ellie, who he has now joined at the Rainbow Bridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Callie Webb Watters and Rinaldo Mixson Watters. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Julia Gibson Watters; Children, Evelyn Michelle Carter and husband Charles of Montgomery, AL and Webb Lee (Taco) Watters and his wife Jennifer of Atlanta, GA; brothers and sisters, Carol McDowell Loshbough and husband Jim of Elkhart, IN, Rinaldo Fraise and wife Carol of Ticonderogo, NY; two grandchildren, Hart Noel Yost and Webb Burke Watters. Special friends Turk and Donna Fritts of Dublin, OH; Craig Yost of Montgomery, and his Auburn family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Frazer United Methodist Church on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A special thank you to Dr. John Reardon and his nurse, Trina Gaston of the Montgomery Cancer Center. They were a special gift that only GOD could have sent to Webb. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriner's Hospital for Children or charity of your choice.
