Wesley was born on April 14, 1927, in Rifle, Colo. In 1938, he moved from Colorado to Stockton, Calif., and worked in a box factory until he joined the U.S. Navy. In the Navy, he obtained some education and served in World War II and the Korean War.

After his service, Wesley became manager of the Lodi Winery in Lodi, Calif., and also served as a Trustee at Humphrey's College in Stockton, Calif.

Wesley's first marriage to Barbara Mauser of Stockton, Calif. was blessed with two adopted children, Deborah Charles and David Johnson.

Wesley's second marriage in 1985, was to Muriel Johnson. They owned a medical supply store "Valley Home Health Care Products," that they had to close in 1996 due to Wesley's ill health.

With Wesley's wonderful sense of humor, he was always joking. At family gatherings, everyone loved being around him especially children - his presence was a joy to all who knew him!

Wesley's first loves were family and faith, and he was always there for anyone who needed help.

Wesley will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Wesley was preceded in death by two sisters, Sevina Davidson and Mary Hammer and four brothers, Roy Johnson, Richard Johnson, Ray Johnson and Howard Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Muriel Johnson of Fort Mohave; son, David Johnson of Stockton, Calif.; daughter, Deborah Charles of Gardnerville, Nev; five grandchildren; and two siblings, Edith Atherton and Rolland Johnson, both from Stockton, Calif.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Dimond and Sons Silver Bell Chapel, 2620 Silver Creek Rd. Bullhead City. Alan Jones will officiate.

Arrangements are under the care of Dimond & Sons Silver Bell Chapel, Bullhead City, Arizona.

"There is so much that can be said about Wes, there are memories to share and stories to tell. For me Wes was the man that gave my mom the love and happiness..." Nancy Morreale (San Jose, CA)
