Margaret and Family. Anita and I are sorry for your loss. Wilford was one of those rare individuals whom always had a smile on his face and was dedicated to his family, friends and his community. I know the community of Wayne Township was served well by Wilford and his involvement in the Metro Youth Sports group was really appreciated. ON A PERSONAL NOTE, WE PLAYED A FAIR AMOUNT OF POKER TOGETHER IN OUR LITTLE GROUP AND WILFORD ALWAYS WANTED TO PLAY DUECES ( 2'S ) WILD SO I LEFT HIM THE 4 DUECES TO HAVE FOREVER AS I KNOW WE WILL MEET AGAIN AND HE WOULD WANT THEM TO WIN EVERY POT. MYSTERY SOLVED IF YOU WERE WONDERING WHERE THEY CAME FROM. Please accept our sincere sympathy. Tom and Anita Carter

Wilford was genuine, self-less, and always optimistic. He was always thinking of other people. When I decided that I was going to start lifting weights, he found a used weight bench for me. That was Wilford, always thinking of other people.

Wilford was a staple in my life as he was friends with my Dad. I doubt my Dad would admit it, but Wilford was one of his BFF's. He was a kind and gentle person. I have many memories of him in my parents' garage playing poker...maybe with a fish hat on his head or Mardi Gras beads around his neck. His laughter could be heard through the whole house. It was infectious. Once at a poker party, I told him I was getting a cab to the airport and he insisted on driving me there even though I had to be there at 4:30am. It was a selfless gesture and Wilford didn't bat an eye as that was the type of person he was. He will be greatly missed but at least Earl now has a poker partner up there. Margaret - You and Preston are in my thoughts and prayers.
