I was very saddened to learn of Billie's passing. I will always have fond memories of working with her in my early years at Sevilla. She had such a wonderful way with people and always made me feel at ease when we talked. I can still see her smiling and hear her laugh when I think back on those days. The world was a kinder and gentler place with her in it. She will be missed by many. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

My mom, I will always miss her. I know she is my guardian angel now though watching over us as we continue to live our lives. I keep thinking of many memories with her. She loved all of her grandchildren and wanted to know and spend time with each one. She loved baking cookies and when we were young we would come home to fresh baked cookies that were cooling on paper bags on the kitchen table. Oh and goodness, remembering the time she gave rod and I a huge birthday party and our classes were invited. She made the hats we wore and we played many games. She worked hard to get ready for that party. I remember looking up toys in the sears catalog and talking to Santa and showing pictures to my mom. Sure enough I got the toys, the memory of this, mom wanted us to have that look of wow Christmas morning. Mom loved to read stories, all kinds of stories. One of my favorites was the Santa book. She would bring all us kids in the bedroom and read us the story. She used the Santa voice to asked us what we wanted. We would burst out laughing. She opened her heart and home to so many people and stressed to us to help the less fortunate. As kids we were very involved with going to Sunday School. There is so much to tell, she was pretty incredible and loved all, she will always be in my heart, well of course...she is my mom.

I am so sorry for your loss. Billie was a special friend. The last time I saw her we had both retired and we ran into each other at a store and we had a nice visit.
My heart goes out to all of you.

My thoughts and prayers to the Brashear family on the passing of Billie. She was a terrific teacher, and understood as a teacher, students learned best when they were nurtured by their teacher. Billie was a nurturer, loved by all her students and fellow educators.

The Hyde family lives are richer for being part of Billie's life. She was best friends with Mary Kaufman and Christy Hyde for over 50 years(we shall miss them). They had so many wonderful adventures together. However, Billie's greatest joy and pride was her family. We are so very sorry for your loss. Jim and Dixie (Hyde) Caudle
