Baird, Willaughdean Logsdon Jewell, 85, went to her heavenly father on November 8, 2011 with her family by her side.
She was born March 24, 1926 in Edmonson Co., KY to Charles Edward and Ethel Mae (Elmore) Logsdon. She was a homemaker and a member of South Louisville Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Marshall Edward Jewell and Jesse Baird, Jr.; one son, Marshall E. Jewell Jr.; two sisters, Alberta K. Pieper and Doris L. Tyra; eight half-sisters, Beaulah A. Logsdon, Coful R. Davis, Eula Ettie Warrenburg, Ethel E. R. Creal, Edna M. Sanders, Eula F. Montgomery, Hattie E. McBride, and Lula Maude Parker; and four half-brothers, Beaulon Edward Logsdon Sr., Marion T. Logsdon, William E. Logsdon, and Lee E. Logsdon. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Neal and Patricia Tudor; sons, Dennis C., Gregory W. (Linda), Gary A. (Barbara), Jeffrey G. (Susan), and Bruce E. (Joy) Jewell; one sister, Marian Elsie Butler; one brother, Estel C. Logsdon; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Meadowview Health & Rehab Center for the care they provided.
A celebration of Willaughdean's life will be Saturday, 10 am at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday and 2-8 pm Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Online condolences @ www.archlheadysouthernfh.com.

Sorry I couldn't be there but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Larry always thought so much of Aunt Dean as did everyone that knew her. She was a very special person and will be missed.
