Matthews, William E.
Baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection on Fri., Sept. 23, 2011.
Dear son of the late Leo and Alice Matthews (nee McLaughlin); dear brother of the late Alice, John and Robert Matthews; dear uncle of Thomas (Becky), John, Robert (Maria), James and the late William Matthews; great-uncle of Michael, Jack, Melissa and Lauren Matthews; our dear cousin and friend to many.

Bill served with the U.S.M.C. during WW II in the South Pacific, a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #8888 and member of the Teamsters Local #133 Brewery Drivers Union (Falstaff).

The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson on Tues., Sept. 27, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Masses preferred. Visitation will be held on Mon. from 4-7 PM and Tues. 12:30 PM until the time of service. Please visit www.hoffmeistercolonial.com.
