Mr. William Henry Hollis age 96, of Arrington, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Hollis was born in Montgomery County, TN, on October 19, 1920, the son of the late Alva Douglas Hollis and Sarah Evelyn Hooper Hollis. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Hollis was a member of River of Life Assembly of God for twenty years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hollis was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hollis and a son, Eddie Hollis.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandra (Glen) Piper, Barbara Gayle (Charlie) Baugh, Carolyn Hollis, and Deborah (Ricky) Maddox; two sons, William (Doris) Hollis and Abe (Ron) Thompson; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 22, 2017, at noon, River of Life Assembly of God. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Sunday from seven o’clock until nine o’clock in the evening and Monday from ten o’clock until the funeral hour at River of Life Assembly of God.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions may be made to National Alliance for the Mentally Ill 1101 Kermit Drive, Suite 605 Nashville, TN 37217-5110.
