Catherine, Linda, and Mike,
We were truly saddened to hear the news about your Dad. Bill was a great guy and we have many, many fond memories of him. He was very considerate and always jovial. Shortly after he went out on his own in construction, he and Dan Moser took over and finished the building of our house. We still have pictures of us all putting shingles on the house roof back in 1979. He was a really good carpenter and skilled craftsman. The neatly framed and huge poured concrete steps that he formed at our house have never shifted. Of course, I was interested in his naval experiences during WWII and he had shared his exploits with me, when his ship was hit by the Japanese Kamakazi airplane. We're so sorry that we won't be able to honor his memory this Friday, as we're in Florida. Please know, however, that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. He'll be missed by many of us who knew him.
