William Homer Goulard was born on July 7, 1946 at Portland Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. His parents were Irving Homer and Marilynn
Goulard. He had incredible interpersonal skills, always able to express himself and was a great jokester with a clever and appealing wit. He always wanted
to be where the action was. Bill was optimistic in his outlook on life and was always open and direct. He had the ability to make even routine situations
seem exciting and was adept at problem solving. In addition Bill had a strong personal work ethic, he had a desire to be treated fairly and would readily offer
others fairness in return. Sociable and pleasant, Bill was someone who enjoyed life's challenges and was always willing to help when needed. "Billy" was the oldest of five siblings. He had one younger brother, Art, and three younger sisters, Helen, Marilynn and Terri. They had a fun childhood together and kept in touch often well into their adult lives. He loved his family very much and was surrounded by them in his last days. Friends, family and acquaintances knew Bill to be an easy man to have a relationship with, and often praised his open, practical style of communication and relaxed approach to life. Bill was uncomplicated and straightforward in his relationships. This allowed him to easily accept people for who and what they are. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his children Taryn and Randall, his grandchildren Lynnette and Serenity, his mother and all of his siblings. Bill enjoyed his life, providing for his family, enjoying his hobbies and truly enjoying people. He will be remembered well for the common sense he brought to the everyday, for the strength he showed in his diligence, for his ability to endure struggle, for his charm and passion, for his commitment and generosity, and most of all for his love and his wit. Bill Goulard gave a lot of himself to a lot of people. He will be remembered well through his family, his friends and all of the people for whom he made it a wonderful world.

"Everyday something comes our way that makes us want to call you to hear your "Brother Bill" joke about it, and it makes us feel like both laughing and..." Art & Cherie Goulard (Angwin, CA)
