Mr. William Lee Dale, commonly known as Bill, age 52, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on November 29, 2016. He was born in Merced, California to Ewing Lee and Elizabeth Carolyn Dale. Bill honorably served our nation in the United States Navy on the USS Nemitz from 1982 until 1986. He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed all types of wood-work including cabinets and counters. He enjoyed working and always had project going in the shop. Bill was an eagle scout and enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. “Papa” Bill’s pride and joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Jeannie Dale of McDonough, Georgia; children, James Robert Dale, Caitlynn Dale, Joshua Murray, Coy Murray, and Joe Murray; grandchildren, Alexia Garcia, Lindsay Dale, Joseph Murray, and Matthew Murray; parents, Lee and Carolyn Dale; sister, Anne Brown; and one niece and nephew, and extended family members.
Family and friends will gather for a service to celebrate Bill’s life on Sunday, December 4, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough (770.914.8833).
