William “Mike” Levangie, 65, of North Charleston, died on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 16, 1952 in Sumter, SC to the late Gloria Burke Levangie and to William D. Levangie.
He was a proud U.S Veteran of the Marine Corp and was retired from Civil service having worked at the Charleston Naval Hospital and at the Charleston Naval Shipyards.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emilia B. Levangie, a sister, Alice (Walter) Jackson, of Bonneau, two brothers, Thomas D. Levangie, of Summerville and John R. Levangie of Goose Creek, one niece, Rebecca Levangie, and three nephews, Kenny Weatherford, Danny Weatherford, and Christopher Levangie.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Burke Levangie.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, January 10, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave. in North Charleston.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with graveside Military Honors following in Carolina Memorial Park.
